HIGH STRENGTH LOW ALLOW CARBON STEEL

Utilizing high strength carbon steel, Taylor Forge routinely solves weight and cost problems for its customers with 40% wall savings reduction in Division 2 applications.

IN-HOUSE ROLLING AND PWHT

Taylor Forge utilizes two (2) in-house rolls to accommodate vessels with wall thicknesses up to 7” and diameters up to 132”. With an 85’ post weld heat treatment oven, Taylor Forge easily meets heat treatment requirements of your finished vessel.

Overview

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Taylor Forge is a unique vessel fabricator that fully engineers its own process and mechanical designs. Not just a build-to-print facility, we optimize layouts to reduce weight, cost, and complexity. Starting with flat plate, Taylor Forge handles rolling, welding, NDE, hydrotesting, blasting, and painting—all in-house. This comprehensive control ensures that only the highest-quality equipment leaves our facility.

Aerospace applications

Taylor Forge has supported NASA, private sector space exploration companies, and multiple launch facilities for over 80 years. Our expertise enables us to handle complex designs—including fatigue and FEA analysis—manage pressures exceeding 6,000 psi and meet stringent internal cleaning requirements for government launch facilities.
